Elneny Signs!

Finally we have completed our first signing of the January transfer window (and since Petr Cech in the early stages of the summer window) by getting defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

I don’t know much about him but from what I have heard he is good and Wenger says he only buys quality and doesn’t buy just for the sake of it. I think we could have possibly got someone better and more well known but they would have probably been too expensive and teams never want to sell in January so perhaps this was the best option.

He will probably go straight into the team against Stoke this weekend and he will be vital for us as it will be a physical game.

He is basically taking up the Coquelin role whilst he is injured and this is a position we have needed for quite a while. It means that veterans Arteta and Flamini will probably not play as much and leave in the summer but this is the right decision in my opinion.

Elneny is still young at 23 so has a lot of potential and he will have to learn and adapt to the premier league quickly.

Hopefully he will be a good signing and player and he could be crucial for us until the end of the season.

Wenger has said we could get someone else but who knows. A striker perhaps?

Could we have got someone else? Will we sign anyone else?
