Arsenal v Man United Preview: Wenger v Mourinho – 13th time lucky?!

On my to the Emirates again to see Arsenal versus Man United as well as Wenger versus Mourinho.

The two managers are definitely not best friends and have had their fair share of confrontations with each other.

Wenger still hasn’t beaten Mourinho in the Premier League (he did beat him in the community shield) and today will be his 13th attempt. Will it be 13th time lucky?

Forget Wenger and Mourinho though – this game is a massive top four battle in which both teams need to win to really have any chance of finishing in the CL places.

Mourinho has said he might rest a few players as United are still in the Europa League. They won their 1st leg on Thursday and have their second leg game in this coming week. If they win it they will actually be in the Champions League next season, so you can understand why they would be going all out for the competition rather than the league.

Who would have thought 13 odd years ago that these two teams would be battling it out for an outside place of getting into the top four instead of the title. The teams are currently in 5th and 6th. How times have changed!

My prediction is 2-1 to Arsenal with Sanchez and Welbeck (against his old team) scoring for us and on form youngster Rashford (if fit) or Rooney (as he always seems to score against us) scoring for them.

Come on Arsenal!
